Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Free Debt Consult ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit freedebtconsult.com (the "Site") or request a free consultation. By using the Site or submitting the consultation form, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide. Full name, email address, phone number, estimated total debt range, and the type of credit item you want reviewed (for example collections, late payments, student loans, repossessions, evictions, medical debt, charge-offs, foreclosures, bankruptcies, child support, or hard inquiries).
- Communications. Notes, messages, call summaries, and any documents you share with a specialist after your consultation is scheduled.
- Automatically collected data. IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use standard analytics and marketing tools (for example Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and the Meta Pixel) that may set cookies or similar identifiers.
- Marketing attribution. UTM parameters and referrer data so we can understand which campaigns brought you to the Site.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, full credit reports, or payment card information through the Site's consultation form. Any sensitive information required to perform credit repair services is collected separately, after you become a client, through our secure client portal.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Contact you to schedule and conduct your free consultation.
- Assess which items on your credit report may qualify for dispute.
- Send follow-up messages, appointment reminders, and service updates.
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site and our services.
- Measure marketing performance and optimize our advertising.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
By submitting the consultation form, you consent to be contacted by phone, SMS, or email at the numbers and addresses you provide, even if they appear on a Do Not Call list. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS, using the unsubscribe link in any email, or contacting us at privacy@freedebtconsult.com.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited situations:
- Service providers. Vetted vendors that host the Site, store submissions, send transactional and marketing email, run analytics, and manage advertising. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only to perform services for us.
- Credit bureaus, creditors, and collection agencies. If you become a client and authorize us to do so, we submit dispute correspondence on your behalf to Equifax, Experian, TransUnion, and the furnishers of the items being disputed.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Free Debt Consult, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative. Disabling cookies may affect Site functionality. Our Site currently does not respond to Do Not Track signals.
5. Data Retention
We keep consultation submissions for as long as necessary to provide services, respond to inquiries, satisfy legal and tax obligations, and enforce our agreements. As a general rule:
- Consultation leads that do not convert are retained for up to 24 months.
- Client records and dispute correspondence are retained for the duration of services and for up to 7 years after the client relationship ends, to comply with recordkeeping obligations.
- Analytics data is retained per the standard settings of each analytics provider.
You can request earlier deletion at any time, subject to the exceptions in Section 7.
6. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, restricted access controls, authenticated database access, and vendor security review. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Opt out of marketing emails, SMS, and interest-based advertising.
- Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws, know what categories of personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information. California residents may also designate an authorized agent to submit requests.
- Under GDPR (where applicable), request portability, restriction, or objection to processing, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@freedebtconsult.com from the email address associated with your submission. We will verify your identity before acting on the request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. Credit Repair Notice
Consistent with the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), no company can lawfully guarantee a specific credit score increase or the removal of accurate, verifiable information. We dispute items that appear inaccurate, outdated, or unverifiable. You have the right to dispute inaccuracies yourself, for free, directly with the credit bureaus and furnishers. Results vary by individual.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
